QFNU Holds a Class for Macao Education and Youth Affairs Bureau on Chinese Traditional Culture
Tuesday, May 16, 2017, a training class opened for Macao Education and Youth Affairs Bureau on Chinese traditional culture, with Mr. Wang Zhiwei, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Office of the Ministry of Education of PRC, and Mr. Zhang Honghai, President of QFNU, the concerned people and more than 40 trainees attending the ceremony. The opening ceremony was chaired by Ms. Kang Shumin, Director of Hong Kong & Macao Education Research Center.
Mr. Zhang extended his warm welcome to the trainees, briefly introduced the discipline construction, personnel training and traditional culture heritage of QFNU, and expressed his hope that the trainees could experience the long history, profundities, charms and vitalities of the Chinese traditional culture. He also hoped to establish a long-term communication mechanism with Macao Education and Youth Affairs Bureau, broaden cooperation and exchanges, and deepen the friendship with the Macao compatriots.
Mr. Wang introduced the educational exchanges between the Mainland and Hong Kong and Macao, and hoped that the trainees could cherish the opportunity and learn, experience the charm of the Chinese national culture in the hometown of Confucius so as to shoulder the responsibilities for the creative transformation and innovative development of Chinese traditional culture.
The training of Macao teachers was organized by Macao Education and Youth Affairs Bureau and conducted in three classes in the Mainland for the purpose of improving the teachers’ understanding and heritage of the Chinese traditional culture. The trainees would be given some lectures on Chinese traditional culture, experience the teaching of Chinese traditional culture in elementary and high schools and kindergartens, and visit Confucius Temple, Mansion & Cemetery during their stay in Qufu.
