Saturday, March 14, 2017, A Chinese folk music concert was held by the School of Music on Rizhao Campus of QFNU for Sino-Belarusian Cultural Exchanges. Mr. Hu Qingxue, Vice President of QFNU, attended the activity and met with the Belarusion delegation headed by Mr. Baranovsky, Honorary Fellow of Eurasian Humanities Institute and Conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra of Belarus.
Mr. Hu presented his painting of bottle gourds and expressed good wishes to the guests. “QFNU has carried out a series of cultural exchanges and visit activities with Belarus recent years,” he said, “and both sides should take this opportunity to further widen exchanges and cooperation and promote friendship and development.”
Several great traditional Chinese music and folk dance masterpieces were performed in the concert, including Erhu solo, Yangqin solo, Pipa ensemble, Mongolian group dance and so on. Finally, Mr. Chen Ruiquan, a teacher of QFNU, conducted the performance of some traditional Chinese folk music masterpieces by the band of the School of Music.
Mr. Baranovsky, commissioned by the organizer of the International Music Contest of Eurasian Economic Union, awarded Mr. Chu Hao, Dean of School of Music of QFNU and one of the Chinese judges of the contest, and appointed him one of the standing Chinese judges of international music contests.
